How To Rid Your RV of Odors

AirCare Removes RV Odor

Odor doesn’t care if you use your RV full-time or part-time. Confined spaces seem more susceptible to odor and tend to make the odors more noticeable. If you are a part-time RVer then closing up and storing your RV for months at a time make it even tougher to keep things smelling fresh and clean. Luckily there are easy tips to follow to help eliminate odor!

Storing Your RV

Before storing your RV clean everything. Turn off the refrigerator and freezer. Wipe both down with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Mix equal parts of warm water and white vinegar. Let sit 20-25 minutes then wipe with a clean cloth and fresh water. Leave doors ajar and place at minimum an Aircare MiniTub in the refrigerator and freezer. Clean all living spaces making sure to wipe out all cabinets and drawers. Vacuum and mop the floors. Give the bathroom a good scrub down. Rinse all hoses, pipes, tanks and water heater with fresh water. Depending on the size of your RV place either an AirCare 10lb Pail or an AirCare 35lb Bucket.

While Your RV Is In Use

Now to keep odors away when the RV is in use. Cooking fumes are always a concern and in a small space they seem magnified. Always be sure to have the exhaust ventilation on when the range is in use. Placing a 1 lb AirCare Tub in the kitchen will quickly rid the area of any lingering odors. Keeping all of your water tanks and lines clean is very important. Always treat the tanks when empty and flush with clean water when able. The same goes for the lines. You can easily pour the treatment down the drains, all sinks and the shower. It is a smart idea to place a 1 lb AirCare Tub in the bathroom to help with any unpleasant odors. It is also helpful to have an AirCare 10 lb Pail or AirCare 35 lb Bucket (depending on the size of your RV) on hand that can quickly tackle any odor issues that arise.
